My neighbor is throwing up violently (and repeatedly). It’s every bit as vile as you can possibly imagine. I think I’ll opt for an apartment with insulation next time.
But that’s not why we’re here tonight. We’re here to talk about GETTING THINGS DONE.
First and foremost, someone you know was given a name today. Meet Precious Princess Snuggles:

Did I fool you? Her real name is Bow, like the hair accessory. A little bit masculine, but so dang cute.
Today’s other accomplishments were probably more productive, but no more exciting. I have been sitting at my computer for 13 hours now (well, I got up to go to the bathroom once…) working on my Graphic Design 2 book. The past four of those hours have been quite ridiculous. For my cover (which is going to be a poster folded around the main book content) I decided to do a google earth satellite picture. Here’s the bitch of the situation: to make it high enough resolution I had to take 64 screenshots, scrolling over one frame each time and then piecing it all together at the end. The hard part is there are no landmarks in cornfields from space. If you lose your spot, you have to start over (which I did, several times). Oh the things we do for our craft. It’s not very exciting yet, but here’s a sneak peek for ya:

The blue rules are where it will fold around the book. Can you believe that took me four hours? Me neither.
This is where the book is so far:

The problem with this situation is that there are still no words. We just found out that our teacher has to leave for Switzerland two weeks before the term ends, so we have to present on week 12 (two weeks from Monday). Naturally creating, printing and binding a book from scratch in two weeks is a bummer of a situation, so we’ve added make-up sessions. Where am I going with this? I have to present this stuff tomorrow at 11:00, and I think some type would be nice.
As in, mandatory.
Don’t misinterpret this situation: there has been no procrastination this time. We only had a day (today!) between regular class and make-up class.
Usually when I have to stay up all night I can make my presentation and go home and sleep. But this weekend I have two other projects that need this much work, plus portfolio review next week.
If you don’t hear from me again, I died of exhaustion.
